We were given access to a building before it was demolished. Working within such a large and abandoned space felt overwhelming. I created a spatial collage using fragments of the building’s remaining interior. The work developed from an interest in déjà vu and how we experience space. Different perspectives can shift or distort our perception of the surrounding environment. By rearranging fragments from the building, I aimed to create conditions where a sense of déjà vu could emerge.
